6 tbsp. butter
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
2 eggs
6 c. apples, diced
1/2-1 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs and mix well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in apples, nuts and vanilla. Spread into greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Serve hot or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
