RUM CAKE 
1 pkg. Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Golden cake mix
3 1/2 oz. pkg. instant Jello vanilla pudding mix
1/2 c. Crisco oil
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. Bacardi Dark Rum
4 eggs
Dash of salt

Mix and beat as for any cake. Put 1/2 cup nuts (chopped) in bottom of greased and floured tube pan and pour batter over nuts. Bake 325 degrees, 40 to 50 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. rum

Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add rum at the very last stirring all the while. Drizzle over cake and keep brushing the topping up over the cake while cake is still warm.
