1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Sm. onion, finely chopped
2 tsp. baking powder
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 c. corn meal
3/4 c. milk

Mix dry ingredients and add onion. Combine eggs and milk, beat and add dry ingredients. Drop teaspoonful of batter into hot deep fat which your fish has been fried in. Cook until golden brown.
