PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES
 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. smooth peanut butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 lg. eggs
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 pkg. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet.

Combine flour, baking soda and salt in bowl. Beat peanut butter, shortening and sugar in mixing bowl at medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in milk and vanilla.

With mixer at low speed beat in dry ingredients just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes until golden. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
