PHEASANT WITH WILD RICE 
1 pheasant
5 slices bacon
1 c. wild rice
Salt and pepper
Basil
Onion

Slice bacon and brown with onion. Add salt, pepper, and a pinch of basil. Wash wild rice and add to bacon mix. Cook slowly about 15 minutes with 1 1/2 cup water. Place whole pheasant on top of rice and season with salt, pepper, and basil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
