STRAWBERRY DESSERT 
CRUMB MIXTURE:

1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter

FILLING:

3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. almond extract
3/4 c. strawberry jam

Grease and flour a 9 inch square pan. Mix crumb ingredients, beat on low speed until crumbly. Press into pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Meanwhile, combine filling ingredients (except jam). When crumb mixture id one, spread jam on it, then sprinkle filling mixture on top. Bake again 20 to 25 minutes. When cool, cut into bars.
