CORN BREAD 
1 c. cornmeal (white or yellow)
1 c. flour
1 egg
2 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar (optional)
3 tbsp. oil (1 tbsp. for pan)
Enough buttermilk to make a smooth batter

Oil pan, add all ingredients and beat well. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until brown.
