BAKED TUNA OR SALMON | |
1/4 c. chopped celery & onion 6 tbsp. butter 3 tbsp. flour 1/4 tsp. paprika 3/4 c. milk 1 lg. can tuna or salmon, drained 2 c. soft bread crumbs 1 egg 2/3 c. crushed soda crackers Saute celery and onion in 3 tablespoons butter until tender. Stir in flour, paprika and a dash of salt. Add milk and cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Cool slightly. Flake tuna or salmon and bread crumbs into first mixture. Place 1/2 of this mixture into a loaf pan and lay 3 slices of cheese on top. Put on remaining 1/2. Beat egg with 1 tablespoon water and pour over mixture. Add cracker crumbs. Drizzle butter over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. |
