DIANE'S TOMATO CHEESE STRATA 
1 loaf French bread
1 lb. butter
1 med. onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic
Tsp. oregano
Tsp. basil
Dash of salt & pepper
3 whole tomatoes, sliced
8 oz. Mozzarella cheese

Slice loaf of bread in 1/2 and toast in oven. Cut into cubes and place in a large baking dish. Melt butter and saute onion, green pepper and garlic. Add oregano, salt, pepper and basil. Pour 1/2 of mixture over bread and cover with tomato slices. Pour rest of mixture over tomatoes and top with Mozzarella cheese. Bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees.
