DANNY'S FAVORITE GINGER COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar (firmly packed)
1 egg
1/3 c. dark molasses
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves

Cream brown sugar and butter. Add egg and molasses. Combine dry ingredients - salt, flour, soda and spices. Add to sugar; mix.

Roll in balls and dip the top in brown sugar. Bake 12-15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets, 350 degrees. About 3 dozen cookies.
