YELLOW CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. softened butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and set aside. Add sugar slowly to butter in a large bowl. Beat well. Beat in one egg until smooth. Add the other and beat well. Add half the flour mixture, half the milk and vanilla. Mix.

Add rest of flour mixture and milk. Mix until smooth. Fill a greased, floured baking pan or 2 round pans no more than half full. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Cake is done when cake springs back when lightly touched near center.
