1 qt. strawberries, remove stems
2 c. crushed berries
4 c. sugar
Rinse clean plastic containers and lids with boiling water. Prepare fruit. Measure fruit into large bowl, along with lemon juice. Measure sugar into separate bowl. Stir sugar into fruit; set aside for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Mix 3/4 cup water and 1 box Sure Jell pectin in small saucepan. Bring to boil. Stir constantly. Continue boiling and stirring for 1 minute. Stir mixture into fruit for 3 minutes and fill container to 1/2" of top. Cover with lids. Let stand in room for 24 hours, then place in freezer. Refrigerate after opening. Yield: 4 cups.
