MAUNDY THURSDAY COMMUNION BREAD
2 c. boiling water
1 c. All-Bran cereal
3/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
2 eggs, slightly beaten
6 1/2 to 7 c. flour

Pour boiling water over cereal, shortening, sugar, and salt. Cool this mixture to lukewarm.

Dissolve dry yeast in 1/2 cup warm water. Add yeast mixture to other cooled mixture. Add eggs; then add 6 1/2 to 7 cups flour.

In greased bowl, allow mixture to rise to twice its size. Put on greased cookie sheet or greased bread pan. Let rise about 1/2 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes; be careful not to over do. Makes 3 loaves.

If you do not want to use all the dough, you may keep it in the refrigerator covered with a damp cloth for 4 days, no longer.
