GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
1 lb. bacon 12 red potatoes 1 c. vinegar 1 c. water 3 tsp. salt 2 tsp. sugar 1 1/2 c. green onions 2 tsp. Arrowroot Fry bacon until crisp while boiling potatoes until tender. Drain potatoes and cut in bite size cubes. Crumble bacon and set aside. Combine vinegar, sugar and salt. Saute green onions and add to potatoes. Heat water to simmer. Remove from heat. Stir in Arrowroot. Return to heat and add vinegar mixture. Stir until slightly thickened and pour over potatoes. Mix and serve hot or cold. A crowd pleaser. |
