2 pts. fresh strawberries (washed and sliced)
2 med. ripe bananas
1 (3 oz. pkg.) strawberry gelatin
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

NOTE: Serve on lettuce if desired.

Put strawberries in sugar allowing berries to make own syrup. Add enough water to make 3/4 cup liquid. Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Stir in syrup mixture and lemon juice. Add mayonnaise. Beat.

Chill until almost set. Whip until fluffy. Fold in strawberries, nuts and bananas. Chill in mold until firm.
