SAVORY GREEN BEANS 
1 lb. green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces (about 3 c.)
1/2 env. (1.38 oz.) onion soup mix (about 3 tbsp.)
3/4 c. hot water
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese

Mix beans, soup mix and water in 1 1/2 quart microwaveproof casserole. Cover tightly and microwave on high (100%) 5 minutes. Stir; cover and microwave until beans are tender, 6-9 minutes longer. Drain. Stir in butter; sprinkle with cheese. Makes 4-6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
