PECAN CRUNCH COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
3/4 c. light brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 heaping c. pecans, chopped (use 1/2 in batter, save rest for top)

Cream butter, sugar, flour and vanilla. Add half of the nuts. Spread batter over cookie sheet, about 12 x 16 inches. Put rest of nuts over top. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Place on rack to cool. Sprinkle with 10X sugar. Cut into squares while still hot.
