ORIENTAL CABBAGE SALAD 
3 tbsp. sesame seeds
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 medium-size cabbage, shredded
6 green onions and tops, chopped
1 pkg. Oriental flavored (chicken) Ramen Noodles

DRESSING:

(Mix in blender)

3 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. oil
4 1/2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 pkg. flavoring from Ramen noodles

1. Toast sesame seeds and slivered almonds in oven under broiler. Watch carefully and stir often.

2. Mix dressing ingredients in blender.

3. (Dressing can be made ahead of time.)

4. Have all ingredients ready and mix just before serving.

Note: Alice's Dressing: Blend 1/2 cup light sesame seed oil (found at Lunds), 3 tablespoons vinegar, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, discarding soup flavoring package and mixing with cabbage one hour before serving.

Note: Judith's Dressing: Blend over low heat flavoring package from beef soup, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1/2 cup oil, 1 teaspoon salt, 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar. Toss with cabbage. Refrigerate 12 hours before serving.

NOTE: Can stir in uncooked noodles before serving.
