SPLIT PEA WITH HAM 
2 qts. water
1 lb. box split peas
2 carrots
1 celery stalk
1 sm. onion
3 to 4 beef bouillon cubes
Salt, pepper, to taste

Blend carrots, celery stalk and onion finely in blender. Place large ham bone with bits of ham left on it, in the pot of water. I usually add a little more water than 2 quarts you will have to do this according to taste. Add all ingredients to pot after it has been cooking 3 hours, remove ham bone and take ham off bone and return meat to pot. Discard bone. Cook additional 1 to 2 hours. If soup gets too thick, dilute with small amount of water.
