1 c. butter 1/2 c. milk 2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/4 c. warm water 2 1/2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 3 egg yolks FILLING: 1/2 c. ground nuts 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. chopped dates 3 tbsp. sugar Melt and cool the butter and milk. Dissolve yeast in water. Sift flour, salt and sugar. Stir eggs into milk mixture. Add this to flour mixture, flour, salt and sugar. Add yeast with water. Knead well. Refrigerate overnight, will be sticky. Heat filling then cool. Add 1/4 cup milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. |
