HAMBURGER RAGATONI NOODLES | |
3/4 lb. ground beef 3/4 lb. Italian sausage (optional) (Add if you like spicier dishes) 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 tsp. salt (delete when using sauce) 1 lb. pkg. Rigatoni noodles 1 c. tomato sauce 1 c. tomato paste 1/2 c. water 1/4 c. vinegar 2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/8 tsp. pepper Mix ground beef and Italian sausage and brown adding onions, garlic and salt. Drain excess fat. While meat is browning, cook noodles in boiling water according to directions until tender. Add remaining ingredients to ground beef mixture and mix well. Simmer gently about 15 minutes. Add sauce to noodles and place in casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. (I use more tomato sauce as it disappears the more it is cooked. Top with cheese the last 5-10 minutes baking.) |
