SWISS STEAK 
1 1/2 or 2 lb. round steak or Swiss steak
2 onions
6 carrots
1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
28 oz. can tomatoes (whole)

Oil pan enough to brown meat. Dip meat in flour, salt and pepper and lay in the oil until thoroughly browned. Pour in the tomatoes; boil slowly. Pour in the carrots (try to place them low down in the pan). Pour in onions and cover after boil. Cook 1 1/2 to 2 hours on simmer.

Serves 4 to 6.
