BANANA NUT BREAD | |
2 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped pecans 1 lg. egg, beaten 1 1/2 c. (3-4) mashed bananas 1/4 c. buttermilk 1/3 c. Wesson oil 1 tsp. vanilla Blend first 5 ingredients. Mix in nuts. Combine remaining ingredients. Add all at once to dry mixture, stirring only to moisten dry ingredients. Turn batter into a greased (bottom only) 9 x 5 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 50 minutes. Cool bread 10 minutes in pan. Remove to cooling racks. |
