LIMA BEAN CHOWDER 
2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
2 tbsp. butter
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
1 c. cubed potatoes
3 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. shredded cabbage
1 (1 lb.) can whole kernel corn
1 (14 1/2 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (4 oz.) pkg. processed American cheese

Cook onions and green peppers in butter until soft. Add lima bean, potato, water, seasoning, bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Add cabbage and corn and continue simmering until vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes. Add milk and cheese, cook, stirring frequently, until heated thoroughly and cheese melts. Makes 6 servings.
