PINTO BEAN CHOWDER | |
1 lb. pinto beans 1 lb. ground beef 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes, chopped 1/2 c. catsup 1 pkg. chili seasoning Wash and soak beans overnight in cold water. Cook beans about 2 hours. Brown ground beef, add onion and cook until onion is transparent. Add to cooked beans along with tomatoes, catsup and chili seasoning. Cover and bring to a boil. Then turn to simmer and continue to cook 30 to 40 minutes. Serves 8. |
