BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and milk until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients with buttermilk. Mix well after each addition. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes.
