BEEF - N - BISCUIT CASSEROLE | |
1-1 1/4 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce 2 tsp. chili powder 1/2-3/4 tsp. garlic salt 1 (8 oz.) can refrigerator biscuits 1 1/2 c. grated cheese 1/2 c. sour cream 1 egg, slightly beaten Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic. Simmer while preparing dough. Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits. Pull each apart into 2 layers. Press 10 biscuit halves over bottom of ungreased 8 inch square pan. Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cream and egg; mix well. Remove meat mixture from heat and stir in cheese mixture. Spoon over dough. Arrange remaining dough on top and sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes until biscuits are golden. |
