2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate chips or M&M'S®

Mix first 3 ingredients. Set aside. Cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture, then chocolate chips or M&M'S®. Put on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake cookies at 350 degrees for 10 to 13 minutes or put dough into cake pan (rectangular) and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes for pan cookies.
