CARAMEL LAYER CHOCOLATE SQUARES | |
5 oz. Pet milk 1 pkg. Kraft caramels 1 pkg. German or Swiss chocolate cake mix 3/4 c. melted butter 1 c. nuts (opt.) 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips Mix 1/3 cup milk with caramels in double boiler or microwave until smooth. Mix cake mix, butter, nuts and remaining milk. Spread half of mixture in a 9"x13" greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. While hot, sprinkle on chocolate chips and melted caramel. Spread on remaining cake mixture. Bake for 15 minutes more. Cool. Cut into squares. |
