SURPRISINGLY GOOD CORNMEAL
COOKIES
 
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cornmeal
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 c. raisins or nuts as preferred

Blend butter and sugar well. Add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients and vanilla; mix well. Do not over beat. Fold in fruit or nuts. Bake on lightly greased sheets at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
