WESTERN BEEF & CORN CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 c. shredded Cheddar or American cheese
1/2 c. hickory flavored or reg. barbecue sauce
1 1/2 c. (12 oz.) canned Mexicorn whole kernel corn drained
1 c. (8 oz.) tomato sauce

CRUST:

1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. yellow corn meal
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter
1 c. shredded Cheddar or American cheese
1/2 c. milk
1 beaten egg

Brown ground beef, drain. Stir in the remaining filling ingredients and set aside to make crust. Stir together flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder cut in butter. Blend remaining ingredients except 1/2 cup of cheese. Spread crust mixture over the bottom and sides of a greased not oiled 9 inch square baking pan. Pour filling into crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with reserved cheese during last few minutes of baking.
