UNCOOKED PICKLES 
8 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
1 c. celery, cut up
1 c. green pepper
1 c. sliced onion
2 tsp. salt
1 c. vinegar
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed

Prepare vegetables; sprinkle with salt. Let stand 1 hour, then drain well. Mix vinegar, sugar and spices. Stir until dissolved. Heat the syrup but do not cook. Pour over cucumber mix and store in plastic. Store in refrigerator. Will keep well for months.
