TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE | |
6 oz. (3 c.) med. noodles 6 1/2-7 oz. can tuna, drained 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1/4 c. chopped canned pimento 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup 1/2 c. milk 4 oz. sharp processed American cheese, shredded (1 c.) 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds (optional) Cook 6 ounces noodles using package directions; drain. Combine noodles, one can tuna, drained, onion, pepper, pimento and salt. Blend celery soup, milk, heat through. Add cheese and stir until melted. Add this mixture to noodles. Turn into 2 quart casserole. If desired, top with almonds or bread crumbs. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes. 6 servings. |
