TOMATO SOUP CAKE 
1 c. shortening (lard or butter)
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 can Campbell's tomato soup
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves

Cream shortening and sugar well. Add beaten egg. Add tomato soup with baking soda, making sure soda has been dissolved. Sift all the dry ingredients together and add to the rest of the mixture and mix well. Bake in 9 x 12-inch pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
