WHITE FRUIT CAKE | |
1 lb. sugar 1/4 lb. butter 1/4 lb. butter 10 eggs 1 box white raisins 1/2 lb. candied fruit 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped 1 pt. sour cream 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. vanilla 4 c. flour Toss fruit and raisins with 1/2 cup flour. Cream sugar, butter, and butter. Add eggs; mix well. Mix nutmeg with flour, mix sour cream and soda. Add flour and sour cream alternately to creamed sugar. Stir in fruit and nuts. Bake in 2 greased and wax paper lined loaf pans. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours. |
