EASY TOFFEE 
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. pecans, chopped
6 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Butter bottom and sides of 8-inch pan. Spread nuts around. Over medium heat melt butter and sugar, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and continue to cook and stir for 7 minutes (exactly).

Remove from heat and pour quickly over nuts. Spread with spatula. Sprinkle 1/2 of the bag of chips over the hot candy. Cover with cookie sheet to hold in heat until chips are melted. Spread chocolate in swirls. Chill well. Break into pieces with your hands.
