DRIED PEACH PIES | |
1 can biscuits 1 pkg. dried peaches 2 1/2 c. water 1 c. sugar Put peaches and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for about 20 minutes covered. Then add sugar and cook the liquid out. Remove from fire. Turn out onto a plate. Mash them with a fork and let cool. While peaches are cooling, take a can of biscuits and open them. Put on wax paper to get soft. When you are ready to make your pies, dust flour on wax paper. Roll out a biscuit large enough for a pie. Put some of the peaches on the biscuit fold over and close by mashing edges together with a fork. After you have made all the biscuits, you are ready to fry them. I cook mine in an electric skillet. Cover the bottom good with Crisco. Bake at 350 degrees setting on the skillet. Cook 3-4 pies at one time. Brown on both sides. Take out and drain on paper towel. |
