PRUNE CAKE 
3 c. cake flour
1 c. corn oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. prunes (cooked and chopped)
3 eggs
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Blend sugar and oil in large bowl and add eggs. Sift flour, soda and spices together and add alternately with buttermilk to sugar mixture. Now add vanilla, nuts and prunes; mix well. Put mixture into buttered pan. Pour buttermilk icing over cool cake.

BUTTERMILK ICING:

1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 stick Parkay
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. white corn syrup

Boil mixture until it forms a soft ball in glass of water. Pour on hot without beating.
