STUFFED FLANKED STEAK | |
1 flank steak 1 c. cooked oat cereal 1 tbsp. chopped parsley 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sage 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 c. coarsely broken crackers 4 tbsp. melted cooking fat 2 tbsp. chopped onion 3 slices bacon 1 c. hot water Combine crackers, oat cereal, onion, parsley, 2 tablespoons cooking fat and seasonings. Spread on steak. Roll steak lengthwise. Skewer. Brown in 2 tablespoons cooking fat. Place in casserole. Add water. Lay bacon across top. Bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees, 2 hours. 6 servings. |
