1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped onion
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 c. red beans, canned
1 c. cornbread batter (I use 1 pkg. Jiffy mix)

Brown the meat and onion; add chili powder, salt and tomatoes. Simmer 15 minutes. Add beans. Pour into casserole. Top with cornbread batter. Bake at 425 degrees for about 20 to 25 minutes, until cornbread is done and crusty brown on top.
