CARAMEL OVERNITE COOKIES 
4 c. brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten
8 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. soft lard or butter
4 tsp. baking soda, dissolved in 4 tbsp. hot water
2 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix well. Use a little flour and form in rolls 2 inches thick. Cool overnight. In morning, slice 1/2-inch thick and bake at 350 degrees 10 to 12 minutes.
