SOUR DOUGH STARTER | |
3 pkg. dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 1 c. warm water 2/3 c. sugar 3 tbsp. instant potato flakes Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water. Feed it 1 cup warm water, sugar and potato flakes. Let mixture stand all day, then refrigerate 2-5 days. Take it out and feed it again with water, sugar and potato flakes; again let it set out all day or overnight. Now you are ready to use 1 cup starter to make your first batch of bread. |
