SWEET TOMATO KRAUT 
4 slices bacon
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (29 oz.) can sauerkraut
1 (20 oz.) can tomatoes, well drained & cut into sm. pieces
1 c. brown sugar

Cut bacon in small pieces. Fry with onion until they are golden brown and bacon is very crisp. Mix bacon and onion mixture with the remaining ingredients. Additional fried and crumbled bacon may be added to the top, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in covered 2 quart casserole. Uncover for the last 15 minutes. Serves 8.
