OLD-FASHIONED CHICKEN AND
DUMPLINGS
 
Chicken
Self-rising flour
Water
1 can evaporated milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Boil chicken until tender. Remove from broth. Add more water if needed. Mix flour with as much water as is needed to make a biscuit-like dough. Bring chicken broth to a hard boil. Drop dough by spoonful into boiling broth.

When all dough is into broth; add evaporated milk. Boil slowly for about 15 minutes. Add salt and pepper. Cover while cooking dumplings. You can use your own measurements according to how many you want to make. Add chicken back in.
