3/4 c. baking cocoa
4 tbsp. oil or applesauce
3/4 c. plus 1 tbsp. applesauce
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 cake pan; mix cocoa and oil or applesauce together in large bowl. Mix in remaining ingredients. Spread in pan.

Bake 30 minutes. Do not over bake. Cool and cut.
