MAKING KRAUT IN SIGN OF HEAD OR
THIGHS
 
Kraut in sterilized quart jars. Fill jars 1/2 full of packed cabbage add 1 teaspoon loose salt, fill the rest of the jar with loose cabbage then pour boiling water to top of jar. Take a case knife around the cabbage to get out air add zinc lids and rubbers and put up. This makes nice kraut.
