1 pkg. or 8 (1 oz.) blocks semi-sweet chocolate
1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1/4 tsp. salt

Break chocolate into small pieces, place in bowl with marshmallows, butter and vanilla. Set aside.

Combine sugar, milk and salt in 2-quart saucepan. Stir constantly to a rolling boil over medium heat. Boil and stir 4 minutes. Pour over other ingredients, stir until smooth. Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.
