WALDORF SALAD 
2 eggs
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. granulated sugar
Pinch of salt and pepper

Mix vinegar, water and sugar; slowly add beaten eggs. Cook over low heat until it thickens. Cool. Dice red Delicious apples to make 1 cup. 1 c. seeded red grapes 1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped walnuts (or pecans)

Pour cooled sauce over apples, celery, and grapes. Chill.

Just before serving, add walnuts or pecans. (Walnuts will discolor sauce slightly if added before chilling.) Serve on lettuce leaf. 4-5 servings.
