BARBECUE BEEF FOR A CROWD 
6 lbs. beef roast (rump is good)
1/4 c. liquid smoke
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. water

Place meat, seasonings, and water in a large roaster. Cover and bake at 275 degrees for 5 to 6 hours. Reserve 1 cup of meat juices. Chill the meat and dice it thinly.

SAUCE:

1 (44 oz.) bottle ketchup
1 c. meat juices
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. white vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. mustard
1 1/2 tsp. celery salt
1 tsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

In roaster on top of stove, blend sauce ingredients. Add the sliced beef and mix well. Heat and serve.
