TURKEY A LA KING 
3 c. cooked turkey, cut up
2 tbsp. sherry or apple juice
Dash of nutmeg
6 tbsp. butter
1 c. mushrooms, sliced
6 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 c. milk (may use 1/2 milk & 1/2 chicken broth)
1 c. light cream
1/2 c. pimento, sliced
1 c. cooked peas (optional)
Patty shells

Place turkey in bowl with sherry and nutmeg. Melt butter, and mushrooms, saute 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in flour, salt and pepper; blend thoroughly. Slowly stir in milk, stirring constantly. Add cream and cook 10 minutes over low heat. Add pimento, seasoned turkey and peas. Heat thoroughly; serve in patty shells. Makes 6 servings.

May substitute cooked chicken. NOTE: May be served on heated chow mein noodles or toast if desired.
